85,145 people reached through 6 projects and working in 68 communities
32 hectares of land in Nayandaro, Kabarore AP were irrigated completely in FY24, facilitating 648 in Nayadaro to cultivate vegetables and food crops (maize and beans) all round the year
Due to the irrigation of 32 hectares of land in Nayandaro, Kabarore AP, beans production has increased from 350 Kgs per hectare (before irrigation) to 1,300 Kgs per hectare (after the irrigation)
Due to the training of 949 teachers and distribution of 28,458 textbooks within the Let’s Learn to Read (LLR) initiative, the quality of teaching and learning has improved and 41% of children (grade 1 – 3) as against 8% baseline are able to read correctly
FH is operating in Burundi from 2006 with a goal to reduce poverty in households in the lower income level. So far two Area Programs has been graduated and program implementation continues in five Area Programs i.e. Bugabira, Busoni, Bweru, Kabarore and Mwumba.
