DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

34,306 people were impacted through three programs 

1,305 vulnerable people (261 households) now have improved access to nutritious food. 

50 artisanal irrigation mini-systems were built to manage the impact of climate variability on crops, improving food production in 25 communities.

78 farmers increased their net income through the commercialization of bananas, obtaining an average income of $1,818 dollars per harvest.

In the Dominican Republic, FH works to promote better nutrition for families and communities, increase food production in the face of climate change, and help farmers increase their incomes through local markets.
